The super session is focused on protecting both the health care professional and the patient by exploring strategies that reduce risk while improving satisfaction. The session begins with insights and strategies to help perioperative professionals reduce their malpractice risks by examining society’s expectations of the care we provide with strategies to best communicate to a jury that our practice satisfies the standard of care. We will then explore the important role patient satisfaction plays in reducing your risk while discussing strategies to meet patient core expectations and finally we will examine strategies perioperative professionals can employ to improve the safety of the patients in their care.
